We want to thank all 523 players who took part of AoIG bridge and chess tournaments in a past 14 months (Click here to down load a complete spreadsheet with all details) You help us to perfect the AoIG rating system for calculation of Bonus Pool standing .Our unique rating system rewards players who come forward and place themselves in any of six available divisions. There are three amateur divisions: Beginners, Intermediate, Advance; and three expert’s divisions: Regional, National and World Class.
Players are free to choose any division based on their own estimation of their playing abilities. Players are rewarded the most when their tournament’s performance match their “claims”. Our rating system provides an additional motivation/excitement for participation in local bridge and chess tournaments. Unlike existing ACBL and USCF rating systems, it instantly  measures player’s success during current year and allows to compare players performances across the boundaries of one game.
For new 2007 season we have made a few key changes in AoIG tournaments organization to add even more fun and excitement  –  come and  see it for yourself.

F A Q:

Q. What is an optional contribution to the Price Money Pool.(PMP)
A. Each Player/Pair/Team can enter PMP in 6 different categories.$ amount is listed per Player (pp).
$$ 5 / 10 / 20 / 50 / 100 / 200  in AoIG  terminology that would correspond  to the entries to
Beginners / Intermediate / Advanced  and 3 Expert’s divisions:  Regional / National / World Class

Q. Does AoIG take percentage of PMP entries?
A. NO. 100% of PMP is distributed back to the players. With at least 50% of players in each division will be “in a money”. Let look at the bridge example of SWISS team session of 20 teams (4 men teams only).
Let say, out of 20 only 7 enter the PMP. Those 7 will compete for the division of the PMP based on their performance in a 20 team’s field.
Assuming  7 entries were: 5 in Advanced ($20 pp); 1 in National Experts($100 pp) and 1 in World Class($200 pp). Before the game starts the team in World Class division, which was by itself in this category, is “down-graded” to the next not empty division, with the difference in entries $400 (4x200 – 4x100) re-funded and credited as a win on a top of any possible prize money, as a result of the game.
The game will produce four winning teams: 3 places in advanced division: 1st :$ 240; 2nd: $120 , 3rd:$40. and 1st place in National division: $800.
